Yamaha XSR155 Debuts in India at Rs 1.49 Lakh With Factory Café Racer and Scrambler Kits

Built on R15 hardware, the lightweight roadster targets India’s growing neo‑retro segment at a price below the MT‑15.

  • Yamaha’s neo‑retro XSR155 launches at an introductory ex‑showroom price of about Rs 1.49–1.50 lakh in four colours: Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue.
  • The bike uses the R15/MT‑15 155cc liquid‑cooled VVA engine with a 6‑speed gearbox and assist‑and‑slipper clutch, producing roughly 18.1–18.4 PS and about 14.1–14.2 Nm.
  • Underpinnings include a Deltabox frame, USD front fork, rear monoshock, 17‑inch alloys, dual‑channel ABS and traction control plus Y‑Connect smartphone features via a round LCD cluster.
  • Official factory custom options are now on sale as Café Racer and Scrambler kits or individual parts, with items such as a headlight cowl, café seat, fly screen, bar‑end mirrors and tail tidy; kit totals reported at Rs 22,560 and Rs 24,850.
  • Positioned roughly Rs 5,000 below the MT‑15, the XSR155 is among the first in Yamaha India’s planned rollout of new models through end‑2026.
