Yamaha Unveils Aerox‑E and EC‑06, Entering India’s Electric Scooter Market

Commercial launch is planned for early 2026, with pricing to be announced closer to market entry.

  • Aerox‑E targets performance riders with a ~9.4–9.5 kW motor, 48 Nm torque, dual detachable battery packs, and a certified 106 km range.
  • EC‑06 focuses on urban commuting with a fixed 4 kWh battery, about 6.7 kW peak output, an IDC‑rated 160 km range, and roughly nine hours for a full home charge.
  • The EC‑06 was developed with Bengaluru‑based River on the Indie platform and will be produced at River’s Hoskote facility.
  • Both scooters feature Eco/Standard/Power modes, reverse assist, connected displays, and disc brakes with single‑channel ABS; the Aerox‑E is also reported to include traction control and a Boost function.
