Developed in collaboration with Bengaluru startup River, the EC-06 rides on the River Indie underpinnings but gets distinct Yamaha design and detailing.
Yamaha cites a 4 kWh fixed battery with an IDC-claimed 160 km range and roughly nine hours for a full home charge.
India Today reports a 6.7 kW peak motor and a 90 kph top speed, while GaadiWaadi lists the motor as 4.5 kW, underscoring unresolved spec discrepancies.
Production is planned at River’s Hoskote facility, with sales expected to begin in early 2026 and an indicative positioning near Rs 1.43 lakh ex-showroom.
Equipment highlights include Eco/Standard/Power ride modes, reverse assist, SIM-based telematics, a coloured LCD cluster, and 24.5 litres of under-seat storage.
