Yamaha Launches FZ-Rave in India at Rs 1.17 Lakh

The new variant pairs refreshed streetfighter design with the FZ series’ established 149cc platform.

Overview

  • Power comes from a 149cc air-cooled SOHC two-valve engine producing 12.4 bhp and 13.3 Nm mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
  • The motorcycle retains a diamond-type frame with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, plus disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS.
  • Equipment includes a full-LED projector headlamp, a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, and LED tail lighting, with the engine certified for E20 fuel.
  • Kerb weight is 136 kg with 165 mm ground clearance, a 13-litre fuel tank, and tubeless tyres sized 100/80-17 front and 140/60-17 rear.
  • Yamaha positions the FZ-Rave between the FZ-Fi and FZ-S Fi V3.0 to target the 150cc commuter-sport segment, competing with models such as the Honda Unicorn and Bajaj Pulsar 150.
