Yamaha Debuts NMAX E and Xenter E Electric Scooters

Yamaha positions the NMAX E and Xenter E as A1/125cc‑equivalent urban scooters due in Europe in spring 2027.

Overview

  • Yamaha unveiled both models at EICMA in Milan in early November, formally confirming technical specs and feature lists for the NMAX E and high‑wheel Xenter E.
  • Both scooters use Yamaha’s compact eAxle with a belt final drive and a centrally mounted fixed 3.5 kWh lithium‑ion battery that Yamaha says delivers about 104–108 km under the WMTC Class 1 test cycle.
  • The NMAX E’s motor is rated about 6.7 kW nominal with a 7.5 kW peak and 33.3 Nm of torque while the Xenter E’s figures are close to 10 hp nominal; both include an onboard 800 W AC charger that charges 0–100% in roughly 5.5 hours.
  • Each model brings modern rider aids and connectivity such as three ride modes, regenerative braking, ABS, traction control, a reverse function, and a five‑inch TFT display with Yamaha Motor On smartphone integration.
  • Yamaha confirmed European sales for spring 2027 and said the Xenter E will be built in Vietnam, but it has not released pricing, full market rollouts such as India, or firm details on a reported optional larger battery.
