Overview
- Amazon listed the Xteink X4 Pro at about $84 on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, its lowest price since the July release and marked as a limited-time deal.
- The X4 Pro is an ultra-compact e-reader with a roughly 4.3-inch E Ink display, a 72 g weight, strong battery life and a magnetic back that can attach to compatible phones.
- The device pairs a touchscreen with physical page-turn buttons, a touch home button, adjustable front light and microSD expansion, and ships with CrossPoint Reader software that reviewers say is improved but less polished than Kindle software.
- Xteink restricts EPUB support to DRM-free files, which prevents many commercial ebooks from working out of the box, and the company replaced a USB-C port with a proprietary charging connector that reviewers criticized.
- The sale could make the X4 Pro appealing for readers who value pocketable hardware and low cost, but limited commercial-book compatibility and a nonstandard charger may limit its appeal compared with Kindle and other mainstream e-readers.
