XRPL Batch Amendment One Vote Short of Activation

Sustained validator approval would let applications bundle up to eight linked transactions into an all-or-nothing operation for atomic settlements.

Overview

  • The Batch V1.1 amendment has 27 of 35 trusted validator votes and needs one more supporting vote to reach the 80% level required to begin a 14-day activation window.
  • The current vote follows a rebuild of Batch after security researchers found a critical signature‑validation bug on February 19, 2026 that was caught before the feature reached mainnet and put no funds at risk.
  • Developers shipped the corrected implementation in xrpld v3.3.0 and say security reviews, a public Sherlock contest, and audits by Halborn and Common Prefix found and fixed about 11 additional issues before the present vote.
  • Batch lets up to eight linked transactions execute as a single all‑or‑nothing operation so multi‑party trades, marketplace fee bundling, and coordinated settlements complete together or not at all.
  • If validators lift support above 80% and hold it for 14 consecutive days the feature would become available for wallets and marketplaces to adopt, but the activation countdown can be interrupted if backing falls below the threshold.
