Xreal Air 2 Ultra Unveiled at CES 2024: Affordable AR Glasses with Advanced Features

Despite demo hiccups, the glasses show promise with 6DoF tracking, hand tracking, and compatibility with various devices.

Xreal unveiled its latest AR glasses, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra, at CES 2024, offering an affordable alternative to the likes of the $3,499 Apple Vision Pro.
The Air 2 Ultra features 6DoF (six-degree-of-freedom) tracking, allowing users to physically walk around a virtual space.
The glasses also support hand tracking for interacting with virtual objects directly and feature a wider 52-degree field of view.
Despite some technical issues experienced during the demo, the Air 2 Ultra is expected to perform better in a less chaotic environment.
The glasses are compatible with Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23, Apple's iPhone 15, and any Windows or Mac machine that can run the company's Nebula environment.
