XPeng's MONA M03 EV received 30,000 orders within the first 48 hours of its launch.
The vehicle's starting price is set at RMB 119,800 ($16,815), significantly undercutting Tesla's Model 3 in China.
Deliveries have begun at the Chengdu Auto Show, with XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng personally handing over the first units.
The MONA M03 is available in three trims, with ranges of 515 km, 580 km, and 620 km.
A majority of the orders came from customers under 30 years old, with 61% being male.
