XPeng Sets August Sales Record as Xiaomi Tops 30,000 Deliveries for Second Month

The gains point to both companies converting strong demand into scale ahead of deeper entries into Europe.

  • XPeng delivered 37,709 EVs in August, a 2.7% rise from July and its second straight monthly record, up 169% year over year.
  • Year to date, XPeng has handed over 271,615 vehicles, up 252% and roughly 110,000 units short of its 2025 goal of 380,000, with the CEO forecasting September will surpass 40,000 deliveries.
  • XPeng began deliveries of a refreshed P7, will unveil the model in Europe on September 8 in Munich, and has expanded its domestic charging network to 2,500 stations with over 13,000 chargers.
  • Xiaomi reported more than 30,000 August deliveries for a second consecutive month, following 81,302 vehicles in Q2 versus 75,869 in Q1.
  • Xiaomi is ramping YU7 SUV production and targeting a 2027 Europe launch as SU7 and YU7 wait times exceed 52 weeks, with CEO Lei Jun advising customers unwilling to wait to consider other brands.
