Overview
- XPeng has begun shipping the G7 in China at prices ranging from 195,800 to 225,800 yuan (US$27,325–31,500) following over 10,000 pre-orders in under an hour.
- The G7 is the world’s first mass-produced vehicle offering Level 3 autonomous driving, allowing hands-off operation under defined conditions while keeping the driver ready to intervene.
- The Ultra variant debuts XPeng’s self-developed trio of Turing AI chips, which the company says deliver three times the computing power of Nvidia’s Orin-X processors used in the Max model.
- Equipped with an 800V high-voltage architecture and 5C ultra-fast charging, the G7 can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in under 12 minutes and offers up to 702 km of CLTC-rated range.
- Positioned against Xiaomi’s YU7 and Tesla’s Model Y in the mid-to-large family SUV segment, the G7 also features an 87-inch ‘Chasing Light’ HUD co-developed with Huawei to project real-time driving data.
