Overview
- Xiaomi confirmed the new sub-brand's first model is called the SkyNomad N90 and released high-resolution exterior 'certificate' photos of the N90 Max showing a square, SUV-like profile with cross-shaped front lights and a SkyNomad-branded grille.
- The car is positioned as an “intelligent variable large-space SUV” with an interior that can be reconfigured into scenes such as a café, meeting room or studio by using 360° front-seat rotation, movable central consoles, removable small tables and a seven-seat layout.
- Xiaomi says the N90 will be offered in five- and seven-seat versions and will come standard with LiDAR hardware for advanced sensing.
- Company founder Lei Jun has been revealing detailed cabin features on social media while CTO Hu Zhengnan says the N90 was developed from interior needs outward, reversing the usual design process.
- Xiaomi traces the vehicle's flexible interior to its in-house Kunlun platform, worked on since early 2023, which uses a flat floor and long rails to allow sliding modules and aims to leverage the firm's AI and ecosystem strengths to enable the configurable cabin.
