Xiaomi Expands EV Production with New Plant for 2025 SUV Launch

The tech giant aims to complete its second electric vehicle factory by mid-2025 to support the launch of its first SUV model.

Xiaomi's second EV manufacturing plant is set to be completed by June 2025, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles per phase.
The new facility will support the mass production of Xiaomi's upcoming SUV, internally known as the MX11.
Xiaomi's SU7 sedan, launched in March, has sold 70,000 units by the end of September, surpassing initial production goals.
The company plans to invest $10 billion over the next decade to expand its EV operations, leveraging its strong brand appeal and software expertise.
By the end of 2024, Xiaomi aims to deliver 120,000 units of the SU7 series and expand its sales and service network across 59 cities.
