Xiaomi 17 Series Launches in China as iPhone 17 Continues Global Rollout

Peru retailers signal an October window for Apple’s base model.

  • Xiaomi introduced the 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the Pro models add a 2.7-inch rear display for notifications, widgets, media controls and selfie framing at 120Hz and 904×572 resolution.
  • Battery capacities are listed at 7,000mAh for the 17, 6,300mAh for the 17 Pro and 7,500mAh for the Pro Max, with configurations up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
  • The series goes on sale first in China, with prices reported from about $630 for the standard model and around $840 for the Pro Max, while broader availability remains unconfirmed and reports point to Europe in early 2026.
  • Apple’s iPhone 17 features an A19 processor, 12GB of RAM, a 6.3-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display with 120Hz ProMotion, a 3,600mAh battery and a 48MP main camera.
  • Retailers iShop Perú and Mac Center estimate the iPhone 17 will arrive in the second week of October for roughly 4,189 soles, or about $1,199.
