XFL and USFL Merge to Form United Football League

New Spring Football League Set to Kick Off in March 2024

The XFL and USFL have merged to form a new spring football league called the United Football League (UFL).
The eight-team UFL will include five teams from the XFL and three from the USFL.
The inaugural UFL season will begin on March 30, 2024, with a game between the Arlington Renegades and Birmingham Stallions, the previous champions from each league.
Former XFL President and CEO Russ Brandon will lead the UFL in the same capacity, while former USFL President of Football Operations Daryl Johnston will lead football operations.
The UFL games will be broadcast on Fox, FS1, ABC, and ESPN.
