- Nintendo issued a Version 3.0.0 update that makes Xenoblade Chronicles 2 compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
- The Switch 2 Edition will be available digitally on July 30, 2026 and as a physical release on October 1, 2026, with paid upgrade pre-orders now live at $9.99 / £7.99.
- The new build runs at 4K and 60 frames per second in TV mode, 1080p in handheld mode, and features sharper, smoother cutscenes.
