Overview
- Microsoft published its second September Game Pass wave on Tuesday, September 15, confirming 13–15 titles will join the service between September 15 and October 6 and naming Minecraft Dungeons II as a Day One release on September 29 and Gears of War: E-Day as a Day One release on October 6.
- Several games already on Ultimate and PC tiers are being added to the Premium tier, moving more full-release content into the mid-tier service and changing what Premium subscribers can play.
- Xbox says eight games will leave Game Pass at the end of September, including Atomfall, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition and Sifu, and subscribers are being encouraged to play or buy those titles before they depart.
- An EA Play free trial for EA Sports FC 27 will be available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers on September 18, giving short-term access to that release through the EA Play partnership.
- Microsoft denied recent reports of immediate, finalized structural changes to Game Pass Ultimate and said there are no confirmed plans to remove Day One releases or cloud gaming, a stance that keeps the service’s current Day One benefit and rotation model intact and may affect subscriber retention and purchase behavior.
