Xbox Launches ‘The Outer Worlds 2’ Design Lab Controllers in Standard and Elite Versions

The tie-in gives players a customizable, cross-platform accessory lineup before the sequel’s Oct. 29 launch on Game Pass.

Overview

  • The themed Xbox Wireless Controller and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 are available now through Xbox Design Lab at $94.98 and $184.98 MSRP.
  • Designs feature The Moon Man and Arcadia’s galactic rifts, with optional upgrades including metallic triggers, a metallic D-pad, rubberized side and back grips, and topcase engraving.
  • The Elite Series 2 variant offers adjustable-tension thumbsticks, a wrap-around rubberized grip, a shorter hair trigger lock, optional back paddles, and advanced button mapping via the Xbox Accessories app.
  • Both controllers support Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth, connecting to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PCs, iOS and Android devices, as well as cloud gaming hardware.
  • The release sets the stage for The Outer Worlds 2 arriving Oct. 29 on consoles and PC with day-one access for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
