  • Xbox and Asus confirmed an October 16 retail date for both the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X, with preorders coming in the weeks ahead and pricing still unannounced.
  • The new Handheld Compatibility Program labels games as Handheld Optimized or Mostly Compatible and augments those badges with Windows Performance Fit notes like “should play great” to set expectations.
  • Microsoft says it is working with game studios to test, optimize, and verify thousands of titles for handheld play under the system.
