X Japan Bassist Heath Dies at 55 from Colorectal Cancer

Heath, the bassist of X Japan, died on October 29 at the age of 55 from colorectal cancer, which was discovered during an examination in June.
Heath was with X Japan from 1992 until the band's split in 1997, and rejoined the group in 2007 for live performances, including Coachella in 2018.
X Japan's frontman Yoshiki shared a personal tribute to Heath, expressing his deep sadness and revealing that they had become closer over the past year.
Heath's funeral will be private and attended by immediate family members only, with a formal farewell ceremony led by Yoshiki to be arranged at a later date.
Despite his efforts to battle the disease, Heath's condition declined suddenly in October.
