Overview
- On Dec. 8, crews lifted the roughly 50-ton railcar structure by crane and moved it by flatbed to the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
- Steiner Studios will install the diner as a permanent production set at its waterfront complex.
- The relocation follows the $12.5 million sale of the 225 Wythe Ave. lot, which is slated for a mixed-use project with retail and about 28 apartments.
- The diner opened in 1968 and later operated as Relish and Cafe de la Esquina, then hosted pop-ups including one for Chanel.
