Defensive Coordinator Jay Sawvel to Take Over After Arizona Bowl

Craig Bohl, head coach of the Wyoming Cowboys, announced his retirement after 10 seasons with the team.
Bohl led the Cowboys to a 60-60 record and six bowl appearances, the most in the team's history.
Jay Sawvel, the team's defensive coordinator, has been promoted to replace Bohl after the Arizona Bowl on Dec. 30.
Bohl's tenure included the development of star players like Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Sawvel's defense this year ranked second in the Mountain West in points allowed per game and yards per play allowed.
