  • Teams discovered the 75-kilogram aerial bomb at the city’s municipal operations site on Hindemithstraße around 12:30 PM, marking the second such find in Ingolstadt in days.
  • Officials imposed a 300-meter safety perimeter from 1:45 PM and began evacuations at 2:15 PM to clear local streets and buildings.
  • Approximately 1,900 residents and employees from nearby homes, offices and businesses were moved to safety until the threat was neutralized.
  • About 150 personnel from the police, fire brigade, THW and rescue services collaborated on the defusal operation.
  • The device was defused and removed without incident, allowing roadblocks to be lifted by evening and residents to return home.
