WWE NXT to Shift to The CW in October 2024 Under New 5-Year Deal

WWE's developmental wrestling program, NXT, will move to The CW in October 2024 under a new five-year agreement. NXT, which showcases WWE's rising talent, will air 52 live weekly events throughout a season.
The CW network has nearly 100 million households under its reach, which is a significant increase from the USA Network where NXT was previously broadcasted. This move is expected to significantly expand NXT's audience reach.
NXT will join The CW's other live sports programs, including ACC football and basketball, the Emmy-winning weekly studio series 'Inside the NFL', and the NASCAR Xfinity Series that commences in 2025.
Almost 90% of participants in the 2022 Wrestlemania were developed under the NXT wing, proving the importance of this program in developing the future stars of WWE.
WWE and The CW's long-term agreement is not only beneficial for NXT in terms of a wider audience reach, but this move is also reportedly associated with a 'massive increase' in the rights fee previously allocated by the USA Network for NXT.
