Overview

  • The Amtsgericht Würzburg opened the main proceedings and largely admitted the May 2024 indictment against AfD lawmaker Daniel Halemba.
  • The court allowed charges of incitement, money laundering, coercion, attempted coercion and property damage, but excluded the separate symbols count tied to an SS order found in a private room.
  • Eight hearing days are scheduled from 7 January 2026 before a juvenile-panel court because some alleged acts occurred when Halemba was 20.
  • Prosecutors say a Landser song with anti-Turkish lyrics was played at his July 2022 birthday party; Halemba disputes being present at the time.
  • Further allegations include transferring a mid–four-figure sum to a Baltic account and pressuring a witness and a party judge, while Halemba denies wrongdoing, alleges political motives and has a recusal bid the court says remains undecided.
