Overview
- A white Ford pickup drove east in the westbound lanes of I-76 shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday and nearly struck Pennsylvania State Police troopers who were on the roadway.
- Troopers attempted to stop the truck and then pursued it after the driver sped away, according to state police accounts.
- The pickup soon hit two vehicles head-on near the Belmont exit at mile marker 330 and three people were pronounced dead at the scene.
