Overview

• The Writers Guild of America Awards, originally scheduled to take place weeks before the Oscars, will occur on April 24, 2024, after the Oscars due to ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes and negotiations with AMPTP.
• The change in scheduling is unusual and is intended to allow for a complete awards submission process to occur post-strike.
• All submissions for awards categories, including screenplays, series, TV-radio/audio-new media scripts, are open from November 1 till December 22, 2023.
• The deadline for preliminary series and screenplay online voting begins on January 22, 2024, meanwhile, the deadline for the same is on February 9, 2024.
• The actual awards ceremony, the 76th Annual Writers Guild Awards, will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
