WPC Certifies First Wave of 25W Qi2.2 Chargers

The WPC’s approval of eight certified chargers paves the way for 25W wireless power across brands ahead of the iPhone 17 launch.

  • The Wireless Power Consortium certified eight Qi2.2 products on July 15, marking the first round of devices approved under the 25W standard.
  • Qi2.2 boosts magnetic wireless charging speeds from 15W to 25W while remaining backward compatible with earlier Qi and MagSafe accessories.
  • Ugreen’s MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank, the first certified Qi2.2 power bank, features a 10,000mAh capacity, built-in USB-C lanyard cable and 25W output.
  • Accessory makers including Baseus, Belkin, Anker, Aukey and Scosche are preparing Qi2.2-compatible docks, stands and mounts for release later this year.
  • Regulatory filings in Taiwan confirm that Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup will support up to 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging when it ships in Q3 2025.
