Overview

  • The final trial used 96 trucks weighing about 35 tonnes each for a combined load of roughly 3,360 tonnes, following earlier runs with 18 and 48 vehicles to simulate congestion.
  • Project engineers reported all performance indicators behaved normally during static and dynamic assessments conducted over five days.
  • More than 400 sensors monitored minute shifts across the main span, towers, cables, and suspenders throughout the testing program.
  • Weather delays extended the trials into August 25–26, yet officials maintained the schedule for opening to traffic next month.
  • The bridge stands 625 meters above the Beipan River with a 1,420-meter main span across a 2,890-meter structure, and it is expected to cut a two-hour crossing to about two minutes as part of the Liuzhi Anlong Expressway.
