  • The 130-meter-long ferry is the largest battery-electric ship ever built, capable of carrying 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles.
  • It features a 40 MWh energy storage system with over 250 tonnes of batteries, marking the largest maritime battery installation to date.
  • Initially designed to run on LNG, the vessel was reimagined as fully electric, signaling a shift toward zero-emissions maritime transport.
  • Interior fit-out and sea trials on Tasmania’s River Derwent are planned before the ship begins operating across the Río de la Plata later this year.
