World Series to Feature Five First-Time Umpires, Bill Miller Named Crew Chief

The World Series between the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks will see five first-time umpires make their debut, alongside experienced umpires Bill Miller and Alfonso Marquez.
Bill Miller, who is working his fifth World Series, has been assigned as the crew chief and will work the plate for a potential Game 7.
Alfonso Marquez, also in his fifth Series, will be at first base for the opening game of the World Series, with D.J. Reyburn overseeing the plate.
The first-time World Series umpires include D.J. Reyburn, David Rackley, Brian Knight, Vic Carapazza, and Quinn Wolcott. All seven Series umpires worked this year's Division Series.
Quinn Wolcott, who had the highest accuracy rate of 96% for calls this season, will be the reserve umpire for the opener and will be behind the plate for Game 2.
