World Rugby to Induct Lynne Cantwell and ‘Rocky’ Clark at Women’s Summit on Sept. 26

  • Cantwell and Clark will be inducted at a ceremony in London on 26 September during the World Rugby Women’s Summit on the eve of the Women’s Rugby World Cup final.
  • Cantwell remains Ireland’s most-capped women’s player with 86 caps across sevens and 15s, competing at four World Cups and helping deliver the 2013 Six Nations title and a landmark 2014 win over New Zealand.
  • Now the IRFU’s head of women’s strategy, Cantwell previously led women’s high-performance development at SA Rugby before returning to Ireland.
  • Clark earned 137 caps for England across a 15-year Test career, played in four World Cups, won the 2014 title, received an MBE in 2015, and has since moved into coaching and media.
  • The 2025 Hall of Fame class grows to four with Cantwell and Clark joining Matthew Burke and Richard Hill, bringing total inductees since 2006 to 175.
