Overview

- Approximately 1,500 litres of gravy were prepared and topped up by Andrew Holt of The Real Lancashire Black Pudding Company.
- Matches last two minutes in a gravy-filled ring, with judges scoring fancy dress, comedy effect and crowd engagement.
- The championship began in 2007 and was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2019.
- Competitors also use the tournament to raise money for their own chosen charities alongside the hospice fundraiser.
