World Aquatics Championships Enter Pool Phase in Singapore

Competitions span six aquatic sports at three venues with live coverage of Germany’s 23-athlete team on ARD, ZDF and Eurovision Sport.

Overview

  • Swimming events began July 27 at the World Aquatics Championships Arena and continue through August 3 with morning heats and evening finals.
  • Water polo matches at OCBC Aquatic Centre have been underway since July 11 and will conclude with finals on July 23 and 24.
  • Artistic swimming is running through July 25 at the Championships Arena alongside open-water races held at Sentosa Island from July 15 to 20.
  • High diving takes place July 24–27 at Sentosa Island and diving competitions run from July 26 to August 3 at OCBC Aquatic Centre.
  • Among more than 2,500 athletes from over 200 nations vying for medals, Germany’s DSV has nominated a 23-swimmer team led by Florian Wellbrock and Lukas Märtens.
