Worker Killed in Machinery Accident at Montana's Stillwater Mine

24-year-old Noah Dinger got caught in rotating shaft while operating a bolting machine; Mine Safety and Health Administration investigating

Noah Dinger, a 24-year-old worker, was killed in an underground machinery accident at the Stillwater Mine in Montana.
Dinger was operating a machine that bolts wire panels onto the stone walls of an underground area to prevent falling rock during future mining.
No one witnessed the accident, but Dinger apparently got caught in the rotating shaft on the bolter.
Dinger worked for mine contractor Moran Mining of Canada.
The accident is being investigated by the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
