Overview

• Fields was traveling eastbound on Chicago Avenue on a green light at a high rate of speed when he entered the intersection at Naper Boulevard and struck the passenger side of a 2024 VinFast SUV.
• The SUV was turning left from westbound Maple Avenue onto southbound Naper Boulevard at the time of the collision.
• Emergency responders pronounced Fields, 26, dead at the scene shortly after the 9:30 p.m. crash on June 19.
• The Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit is leading the investigation and has not filed any charges.
