Overview

• Emergency services were called to Strinesdale Reservoir off the A62 between Oldham and Delph at around 4pm Sunday following reports a woman was struggling in the water.
• Two fire engines from Oldham Central and Chadderton stations and Heywood’s specialist Water Incident Unit joined police and paramedics in a roughly one-hour search before the body was recovered at about 6:25pm.
• Greater Manchester Police stated there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and formal identification is pending.
