Woman Suffers Paralysis After Being Shoved into Moving Subway Train

Emine Yilmaz Ozsoy, an artist living in New York, was paralyzed after a man shoved her into a moving subway train.
The suspect, Kamal Semrade, was charged with attempted murder and assault for the attack which left Ozsoy with a broken neck and other severe injuries.
The assault occurred at the Lexington Avenue subway station and was captured on surveillance footage leading to Semrade's arrest.
Ozsoy remains in critical condition as her family seeks emergency visas to travel from Turkey to help with her care.
The unprovoked attack has highlighted concerns over safety and security on New York's subway system.
