Overview
- Police say a 33-year-old woman was approached and sexually touched while jogging on Bondi Road at about 5:30am, and she reported the incident to Eastern Suburbs officers.
- Officers have released an image and a detailed description of the suspect who is described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall, aged about 30–40, wearing a green jacket, blue shorts and fluro-green shoes and seen with a black duffle bag riding a red bicycle.
- Authorities have urged anyone with information or mobile-phone footage to contact Bondi Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to assist the inquiry.
- There has been no reported arrest in the Bondi matter and police have not linked this incident to the mid-October case in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where a 13-year-old was charged over separate alleged sexual-touching incidents.
- Support services have been signposted for the victim and the public, including 1800RESPECT and the Men’s Referral Service, and the police appeal is likely to increase calls for vigilance on walking and jogging routes.
