• The 45-year-old from Stockport was initially arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while impaired through drink or drugs.
• She has been released under investigation as enquiries continue by Lancashire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
• Officers were called at 11:01pm on October 11 to a single-vehicle collision involving a white Peugeot Bipper at the junction of Dowbridge and Carr Lane.
• The passenger, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after.
