Woman Killed in Brownsville Hit-and-Run as NYPD Seeks Driver

Police are searching for the fleeing driver.

A woman was pronounced dead on scene when, according to a woman at the scene, a man pushed her out of a car and onto the street at Pitkin Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brooklyn on Friday January 16, 2026. 0748. The woman reportedly then got up and walked to the front of the car, whereupon the man proceeded to run her down. The womans’ body was located two blocks away on Pitkin Avenue and Osborn Street.
