Woman Killed, Husband Injured After Plow Truck Reverses Into Couple at MBTA Norwood Lot

Overview

  • Transit Police say the couple was struck around 2 p.m. Sunday in the Norwood Central MBTA parking lot during a winter storm.
  • The 51-year-old woman died at the scene and her 47-year-old husband was hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.
  • Investigators report the driver is a 33-year-old working for a private company contracted by the MBTA who was backing a Ford F-350 with a plow.
  • The plow operator remained at the scene and is cooperating as Transit Police work with the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
