Overview
- An officer near Belair Road and Mayfield Avenue heard gunfire around 10:50–11 p.m. Monday and found a 54-year-old woman fatally shot and two men, ages 20 and 24, with non-life-threatening wounds.
- Two additional men, ages 25 and 31, later walked into a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries linked to the same East/Northeast shooting.

- In a separate case, the 14-year-old fatally shot Saturday in Morrell Park was identified as Michael Hitchens III, whose family and neighbors described their grief and urged accountability.
- Hours after the East/Northeast gunfire, a 17-year-old arrived at a hospital with a non-life-threatening wound believed to have been sustained on Wegworth Lane in Lakeland, as city data marked the latest homicide as the 132nd of the year, down about 28% from the same time last year.
