Overview
- Emergency services were called to Leek Road in Milton at 7.54am near the South Drive entrance to Carmountside Crematorium.
- Ambulance crews and the Midlands Air Ambulance administered advanced life support en route to Royal Stoke University Hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead.
- Staffordshire Police say the vehicle involved was a small blue or grey car, similar in size to a Renault Clio or Ford Fiesta.
- The driver did not stop and was last seen leaving the area in the direction of Abbey Hulton, police said.
- Collision investigators remain at the scene with closures at Leek Road and South Drive, diversions in place, and the woman’s next of kin being supported.
