Overview

• A PCR call at 11:10 pm on September 21 reported an unresponsive couple at a Gaffar Manzil apartment in Jamia Nagar.
• Officers forced entry, finding 65-year-old Aftab Jehan deceased on the bed and 70-year-old Siraz Khan in fragile condition before rushing him to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
• The couple’s daughter in Hong Kong had asked her maternal uncle, W Ahmed Khan, to check on them after she could not reach the family.
• Their son Imran, about 50 and intellectually challenged, had confined himself for three to four days without food and was taken to IHBAS and later shifted to GTB Hospital.
• A crime team examined the flat, no external injuries were noted on the body, and proceedings under Section 176 of the BNSS are underway.
