Woman Found Dead in Chicago O'Hare Airport's Baggage Conveyor Belt

Virginia Christine Vinton, 57, was identified as the victim; authorities are investigating the circumstances of her death in a restricted area.

The incident occurred in the early hours of August 8 in Terminal 5, a non-public area of the airport.
Surveillance footage showed Vinton entering the restricted area around 2:30 a.m.
Emergency responders found her body entangled in the machinery at approximately 7:45 a.m.
The Cook County Medical Examiner ruled the death a suicide by asphyxiation due to hanging.
Vinton was not an airport employee, and the U.S. Department of Labor confirmed OSHA is not involved in the investigation.
