Woman Fatally Shoots Uber Driver, Mistakenly Believing Kidnapping

Phoebe Copas, a Kentucky woman, has been charged with murder for shooting an Uber driver in El Paso, Texas.
Copas allegedly believed she was being kidnapped and taken to Mexico, though the investigation found no evidence to support her claim.
The victim, Daniel Piedra Garcia, died after days on life support in a Texas hospital.
Copas is being held on a $1.5 million bond, and her charges were upgraded to murder after Garcia's death.
Garcia was the sole provider for his family and had only recently started driving for Uber.
