Overview
- Victoria Police allege the 37-year-old deliberately set the May 21 blaze and have charged her with two counts of attempted murder
- The fire ignited around 9.40 pm at the two-storey Terrigal Street property after a gas cylinder exploded inside the home
- Fire crews found the woman and her daughters, aged seven and eight, unconscious in an upstairs bedroom and rushed all three to hospital in critical condition
- Flames destroyed bedrooms and an ensuite and caused a partial structural collapse while smoke and water damage left the rest of the townhouse uninhabitable
- Investigators are treating the incident as suspicious and have appealed for CCTV footage and witness information as the Arson and Explosives Squad probe continues
