Woman Escapes Fake Cab Driver's Extortion Attempt at Bengaluru Airport

A woman narrowly avoided a dangerous situation after a fake Ola driver tried to extort money from her at Kempegowda International Airport.

The incident occurred around 10:30 pm when the woman boarded a cab at the designated Ola pickup station at Bengaluru Airport.
The impersonator driver did not request the mandatory OTP and asked the woman to enter her destination on his personal Maps app.
The driver demanded extra fare and suggested transferring her to another car when she refused to pay more.
Feeling unsafe, the woman called the emergency helpline 112, leading to the driver's arrest by Bengaluru police within 20 minutes.
The incident has sparked concerns about airport security and the safety protocols of ride-hailing services at the airport.
