• The victim suffered scalped wounds and a damaged hand, was taken to the regional hospital’s intensive care unit, and later died, the Kamchatka health ministry confirmed.
• A city operational wildlife-response team located the animal shortly after the school incident and killed it, according to the regional inspectorate.
• A sixth-grade student at the school received scrapes after running and falling on seeing the bear and was given medical care.
• Earlier that morning, social-media video showed the bear confronting a man on Ozernaya Street before the man fled into a car and the animal attacked the vehicle and left.
